Welcome MTS Alumni!
The Michael T Simmons Parent Teacher Organization (MTS PTO) would like to announce our Academic Scholarship to any former Michael T Simmons Elementary student scheduled to graduate from Black Hills High School, Tumwater High School, or New Market Skills Center this year.
The MTS PTO focuses on enriching the educational experience at MTS by promoting educational activities for students, parent involvement in children’s education, and social activities for families; the MTS PTO is focused on building community. With this in mind, we offer this scholarship to a former MTS student who has continued to foster a sense of community in their endeavors after leaving Michael T Simmons and will do so into the future. We wish you luck in your future as you take the next step in your education.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Attended Michael T Simmons Elementary for four (4) or more years
• Graduating from BHHS, THS, or NMSC Class of 2023
• Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater
• Completed minimum community service requirements (30 hours)
• Plan to attend an accredited college/trade school in the Fall of this year
• Current transcripts
• Letter of recommendation
• Complete and submit the linked application with attachments before published deadline
This scholarship is a one-time scholarship worth $500.
The winner will be notified within two weeks of the submission deadline.
